Liz Sarley is Opportunity Nation’s Marketing Strategist. She is responsible for developing high-impact communications for a national audience, marketing strategies for online and event-related initiatives, and implementing, tracking and optimizing digital marketing activities across all channels. She plays a leadership role in the annual data launch of the Opportunity Index and served as the project manager for the National Opportunity Summit in 2015 that brought together 1,000 cross-sector leaders over two days to focus on the urgent issue of youth employment.

A native of diverse Los Angeles, California, Liz has always been acutely aware of the disparities in access to opportunity between communities. She is proud to be part of an organization that has shifted the national dialogue to focus on the opportunity gap in the US as the defining issue of our time.

Liz joined the campaign in 2013 after graduating from Boston University. She graduated summa cum laude with degrees in political science and history. Liz’s passion lies at the intersection of policy, advocacy, and communications and she went on to earn a Digital Marketing Certificate from General Assembly.

Prior to joining the campaign, Liz became well versed in Massachusetts politics through working on a local Cambridge City Council campaign and interning at the Massachusetts State House and political consulting firm, Sage Systems. She also spent 5 months in London interning at Parliament.

A huge dog enthusiast, outside of work, Liz can be found talking about her beagle, Bruce and on a perpetual search for the best Mexican food in Boston. Read blog posts by Liz Sarley.
