Opportunity Nation is thrilled to see bipartisan and bicameral movement on this important issue we’ve been working on since our founding in 2011. In this political environment, it is a huge win. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is in desperate need of reauthorization and this is a positive step for for the job training field, particularly programs that focus on youth. We applaud Representatives Kline, Foxx, Miller, Hinojosa and Senators Alexander, Isakson, Murray and Harkin for their leadership and hope that the Senate and House follow their lead.
We’d also be remiss not to mention our excitement that the word “opportunity” is included in the title!
