“Dive in and make it work” Monique Rizer, executive director of Opportunity Nation told Women of Washington hosts Aileen Black and Gigi Schumm. This is the advice she gives to women facing new opportunity or challenges.
“You are not defined by past experiences, you are defined by what you choose to do now,” Rizer said. She shares her story from starting her humble beginnings as a teenage single mother to being awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship that set her on a course to eventually take her to her current role at Opportunity Nation.
