The National Opportunity Summit hosted biannually by Opportunity Nation brings together leaders and representatives from nonprofits, businesses, higher education, and government institutions from across the country to address stagnating economic and social mobility. This bipartisan, cross-sector convening elevates solutions and catalyzes actions for expanding opportunity.

Champion Youth Voice

Each Opportunity Summit has had hundreds of young adults attend on behalf of Opportunity Nation Coalition organizations. Youth voice and experience are central to our Summits, bringing energy, enthusiasm and fresh perspectives to our conversations.

Grassroots Activation

Over 200 Opportunity Leaders have received scholarships to attend National Opportunity Summits and participate in grassroots activation training using the Opportunity Index. During the 2015 Summit, they led over 80 meetings with their local elected representatives on Capitol Hill.

Bipartisan Engagement

Elected officials from both parties have appeared together to show their support for expanding opportunity at past National Opportunity Summits, including Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Michael Bennet (D-CO).

Mobilize Our Network

Opportunity Nation has grown a national network of more than 300 partners and influencers who reach 100+ million people annually. By participating in the Opportunity Summit, the Opportunity Nation Coalition has forged new partnerships, commissioned new research, and launched local initiatives across the nation to connect our youth to education and careers.
